Purple Rain: A Celebration of Prince at The Blues Kitchen – Brixton

By on March 2, 2019

Come on down to Brixton for a night dedicated to the supreme child of funk- the one, the only Prince.

Prince, otherwise known as The Purple One, His Royal Badness and The Supreme Child of Funk, knew exactly how to get the dance floor moving. One of modern music’s great innovators, he incorporated a wide range of styles into his music. From When Doves Cry and Purple Rain to Kiss and 1999, our incredible resident band will reel off all the biggest Prince hits in a special live performance celebrating his amazing life and music.

For the late set, Atlantic Soul Orchestra whip up a storm of fiery soul classics to keep you groovin’ long into the night. Mike Ross is one of the best known names in the UK blues and roots rock scene; he plays downstairs with his unique blend of sounds perfect for some downtime away from the clubroom.

Our resident DJ Richie Staunch keeps your feet movin’ to the very best of blues, funk, soul and rock ‘n’ roll.

Purple Rain: A Celebration of Prince at The Blues Kitchen – Brixton will be held on Friday 8th March 2019.
