After a sell out first event, #MakeYourFilm returns for the second of our curated events aiming to bring you usable and honest advice about making independent and studio films and the stories of how people have got there against the odds!

Our First four guest speakers are : –

Phil Hawkins of The Philm Company
Phil has directed 5 feature’s & over 150 commercials with talent such as Christopher Walken & Freddy Krueger, been praised by the sorely missed Carrie Fisher and Steven Spielberg described him as “one of the best new and upcoming directors”.. His films have sold to Lionsgate, Netflix and Sony Pictures. He’s even been fired by Al Pacino, ask him on the night!

Jack Tarling of Shudder Films
Already making huge waves in the independent film world Jack has won a B.I.F.A Award for Best British Film, (amongst many other accolades) and has also been Bafta nominated. He is known for his powerful feature films God’s own Country, and his latest film Await Further Instructions

Matthew Butler Hart & Tori Butler Hart of Fizz and Ginger Films
Matt and Tori have completed an award winning slate of ambitious films including three features – Miss in her Teens, Two Down, and recently The Isle. Both of them have multiple talents spanning Acting, writing, Directing and Producing between them and together they have moved from small indies into bigger budgets and more challenging works with an exciting slate of films ahead.

Dom Lenoir –
Dom Directed & produced his 1st feature age 20 and achieved his goal of 3 features before 30 yrs old with Winter Ridge which has a 25 screen cinema release. He has also shot his films in Germany, Spain, Sicily and Austria.
