Happy Reading: The Penguin Classics Pop-Up Shop at 133 Bethnal Green Rd
The Penguin Classics pop-up shop is coming to London from 25th-31st March 2019, open 10am-6pm each day.
Both a shop and a cultural space, the pop-up will celebrate that these are books to love, not just to study, and will bring together diverse voices to explore, discuss and challenge the literary canon.
Alongside a display of every single Penguin Classic (over 1,200 books) Happy Reading will be a hub for talks, walks, workshops and more.
The space will function as a shop and bookish hang-out where readers can browse titles, spend some time in one of the reading corners with a coffee from Climpson & Sons, and participate in creative workshops.
By night, events will take place, from live book clubs to a feminist panel hosted by Refinery29 UK.
Find out more about each event below.
East End Literary Tour – With Henry Eliot, author of The Penguin Classics Book
