Bombskare present: 40 Years Of 2 Tone Records

By on April 14, 2019

We celebrate the 40th anniversary of ska’s most iconic imprint, 2 Tone, in the company of Edinburgh nine piece Bombskare, who will play a range of classic hits from across the label’s four decade lifespan.

Originally founded by Jerry Dammers of the ska revival band the Specials in 1979, 2 Tone’s reggae-influenced music with a punk rock and pop music overtone spawned the 2 Tone music and cultural movement, which was popular among skinheads, rudies and some mod revivalists.

Artists associated with the label included The Specials, Elvis Costello, Madness, Bad Manners and more.

Bombskare present: 40 Years Of 2 Tone Records at The Jazz Cafe on Saturday 20th of April 2019.
